Yes, that is the title of this blog, not a Fall Out Boy song.
I thought it was about time I probably did another one of these things seen as been nearly a year since the last one and in that one I proclaimed I was going to post more. It seems by “post more” I actually meant “see you in 12 months.”
How’s about an update and a few piccies? That sounds fair enough for a photography blog, right?
January; I got to shoot Enter Shikari! Bloody mental that.
Supported by Palaye Royale
And, in my opinion, one of the best British bands around at the minute; Black Peaks
Such a great night of live music and showmanship. So good to see shows of this size coming back into Preston, hopefully there’s going to be a lot more.
February; Got busy, messy and sweaty, just how I like it.
I was lucky enough to shoot British indie heroes The Pigeon Detectives which was great fun. Within the shooting restrictions of the first three songs I was hit by a pint, treated to show shower from a water bottle and then attacked from behind by a wayward microphone. To his credit Matt (frontman, pictured above) apologised profusely for his mic getting away from him, gave me a big sweaty/wet hug then went back to business running up and down the stage entertaining the masses.
I also got to shoot up and coming indie stars The Orielles. Top band with a great future but I am most definitely not built for shooting sold out shows in small rooms without a photo pit, I think I stood on a few too many toes.
I also got to do a promo shoot with Manchester rap group Illerstate this month but I can’t show you any shots from that yet so you’ll have to come back for those at another time (always keep your audience wanting more and all that jazz).
Anyway, thats all the cool bits I’ve been up to so far this year. There has been more but I really don’t want to bore you with it in a blog post, you can ask me about that in person and I’ll just bore you then.
